Time To Inspect
The roof of your home or commercial building is one of the most essential components of the property’s structure. As such, it deserves a significant amount of time, attention, and care. One way to care for your roof is by hiring a competent local roofing contractor to perform a thorough roof inspection. Roof inspections provide the opportunity to learn about current condition, identify any future problems, and discuss possible resolutions or preventive measures before major issues arise. Many people don’t know what to expect when it comes to a roof inspection. A good local roofing contractor should walk you through each phase of the inspection, but here’s a cheat sheet to get you started.
Start on the Ground
The inspection generally begins with an assessment from the ground. We will walk around the property doing a full visual inspection at ground level. This provides a unique vantage point for us to observe the angling of your roof, as well as any drainage patterns.
Then onto the Roof
When up on the roof, we will be looking for issues that could be warning signs of something going wrong. These could be signs like excessive wear and tear, cracked caulk, rust, noticeable water damage, cracked vent pipes, or any other signs of decay. These defects can be detrimental to the health and safety of your property and could lead to possible interior water damage.
